Difference between Functional and Non-Functional Requirements in Software development - Example

Gathering the correct and complete requirements is one of the most important things in software development. Incorrect and incomplete requirements are the main reasons why the project fails. If you are in software development, you may have come across terms like functional and non-functional requirements. If you are wondering why a prototype takes 2 weeks but actual application development requires around 3 to 4 months of development; think of non-functional requirement. When someone told you to build software, what they tell you is what that software should do like allow you to trade on a certain market, but they don't tell you about security, performance, load, and other stuff, this is what I called non-functional requirement.

3 ways to convert String to Boolean in Java? Examples

You can convert a String object to a Boolean object or boolean primitive by using the Boolean.valueOf() and Boolean.parseBoolean() method. The steps are similar rot converting to String to other data types  like  String to Integer and String to Long . You can use the  valueOf() method to convert String to Boolean object and parseBoolean() method to convert a given string to a boolean primitive value. Internally, valueOf() also uses parseBoolean() for parsing String but on top of that it also provides caching e.g. it can return Boolean.TRUE and Boolean.FALSE cached value for "true" and " false" strings.
